Secapp contributes to the operations of the Finnish Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority (STUK). Last December, STUK’s emergency message related to the disruption of the Olkiluoto nuclear power plant was sent by Secapp.
On December 10, 2020, STUK employees got an alert related to the Olkiluoto nuclear power plant. The alert was sent to the employees’ mobile phones and it warned about the emergency situation at Olkiluoto 2. That alert was sent by Secapp.
– We have such an alert system that if the cell phones are silent, the alert will bypass it and it will shout loudly, Kirsi Alm-Lytz, the director responsible for the supervision of the nuclear power plant, recalls according to IS.
